Each active user generates productivity value worth a percentage of their salary per year. The return on your AI rollout is your active users (your adoption rate times your licenses) multiplied by that per-user value. Adjust adoption, productivity, salary, or licenses to model your own situation.

Configurato gives you visibility into who is and is not using AI, which drives broader adoption. In the calculator that appears as a fixed lift of up to 20 percentage points on your current adoption rate. It does not change your per-user productivity, which stays your own input.

What does break-even mean here?

Break-even is the minimum number of active users whose productivity value covers your total annual license spend. Below it, the licenses cost more than they return. Above it, every additional active user adds net value.

Is adoption measured against licenses or total headcount?

Against licenses. You can only actively use a seat you hold, so the adoption rate is the share of purchased licenses that are actively used. If you have more employees than licenses, that is a separate expansion opportunity.
